stevethevanman
What are your views on using target pellets for hunting, I do my rabbit hunting with a precharged pneumatic Air Arms S410 Carbine and use Air Arms Pellets and from what I gather these are target pellets. I place the pellet behind the eye so my motto is as long as it goes through the brain I am not to worried about what I shov through its brain, ether way it is dead. What does everyone think on this. pin
They do a "hunter" pellet as well, which is less domed and seems to group similarly to the field pellet. The diablo fields group so well in my 410 I didn't consider anything else for a long time, in the right spot they drop rabbits just fine. stevethevanman
They are Diablo pellets which are round nosed and I think round nosed pellets are used for everything not so much for just target shooting or hunting but for everything all round. SNAKEBITE
Target pellets are normally flat headed. This it because they punch paper more distinctly. In this I mean the holes are more defined and not ragged. This makes it easier for marking. Obviously in HFT when a knockdown targrt is used this become irrelevant. Diablo shaped pellets are for hunting. They fly through the air better and will not drop off as quickly at the end of their flight.
