elgreco
Hi has any one got or used an inversion table for the treatment of back pain and sciatica? I have heard they can give relief but would like to hear a few opinions before shelling out the wonga. Thanks Tom
p@cman
Inversion tables sound like something to do with mathematics, but from personal experience with back pain and sciatica, I would highly recommend a session or two with a good McTimoney chiroprator. Has worked well for me over the years without fail.
elgreco
Thought it may have sounded mathematical hence the brackets :-) What does a "McTimoney chiropractor" do? Cheers Tom

welsh1
A good chiropractor is worth his weight in gold,i have mine on speed dial with my back, and he is the difference between walking or lying on the floor in agony at times.find a good one and get on his books if you have back problems. Mine worryingly also does horses , but i figure if he is allowed to fix expensive race, show horses, then i am in good hands
goodo123
Can't you try one out somewhere? Maybe your local massage parlour? Remember to pre book and use the side door tho....

p@cman
Thought it may have sounded mathematical hence the brackets :-) What does a "McTimoney chiropractor" do? Cheers Tom McTimoney is one of the two schools of chiropractic. Basically, it's about alignment of the bones & bone joints. The link to the chiropractic website that welsh1 put in one of the posts will go into details. My experience of McTimoney chiropractic treatment is that it is a relatively gentle treatment, less rigorous and less painful than osteopathic treaments, but has worked very effectively for back pain and sciatica for me. THE AD
Waste of money for me only used it a couple of times and it went on the bay. I could not get away with the blood rushing to my head while hanging from my ankles. Trying to get back up is the testing part, don't do what i did and shout the wife she just pee'd herself laughing at the sight of me trying to right myself. That's my concern, we have various bits of fitness equipment which have been used half a dozen times and then become 'clothes hangers' in the spare room, if I get one I want it to be of use and not just another trip hazard Cheers Tom
