Nice mooch with the reloads

It wasn't a particularly nice afternoon, more rain  Still, I thought it might move the odd bird round the woods so I headed off with the 12g and a pocket full of reloaded cartridges :good:

Unusually, there was a crow or two about, you don't see many on this farm for some reason :hmm: Anyway, I picked a spot in the woods with a small clearing in the canopy, as close to the flightline as I could. It wasn't long before the first victim came over at quite a reasonable height. The 32grm load dropped it like a stone :good: With the report, a flock of pigeons cluttered out of the oaks at the far end of the field and headed my way. They were really high, but one looked reachable, so I let loose with another home cooked cart and that too dropped way behind me amongst the Beeches :good: It was slowish, but very enjoyable. I was out for about 3-4 hours and had a nice mooch about the woods. Ended up with 1 Jackdaw, 3 crows and 4 pigeons and some empty shells to reload again :good: As it helps us all to know what they are on, 3 had fed on acorns and the other clover. :)
