Davyo
Had a load of rabbit left over from the slow cooker, so made a big pie and some tasty pasties. The big pie got eaten for lunch during ferreting today. The filling consists of rabbit, carrot, parsnip and blackpudding and was enjoyed by all. Edited November 10, 2013 by Davyo

kenj
Just made another dozen rabbit, pigeon and chorizo pasties and used the last of my pigeon breasts. http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/index.php/rabbit-and-pigeon-pasty-with-chorizo/ If I don't get any more woodies, I think I'll try just rabbit and black pudding minced together, sounds tasty. I always cook my meat in the pasty.

I always cook my meat in the pasty. Can't beat black pudding with rabbit but I personally wouldn't mince the black pudding as it gets 'lost' amongst everything else. I prefer to have small cubes about 1/4-1/2 inch and that way it doesn't disappear when it's cooked. Never had it in pasties though so I'll have to give that a try, sounds good.
