white van man
Here's one for the knowledgeable amongst you. I have a s/s12guage by Benjamin Edwards who I believe was a gunmaker in Birmingham late 1800s It's a nice gun that has been re sleeved (obviously worth doing). I just wonder has anybody got any info on these it has 28 in barrels. Can I work out build date from serial nos and what it may be worth (if anything) Cheers Steve. Gunman
You can work out an approximate date from the original proof marks and from "it has to be after " patents or styles .Addresses as previous can give a better window . Birmingham guns after 1920 will or should be date stamped .
