Benjamin Edwards 12guage

Here's one for the knowledgeable amongst you.

I have a s/s12guage by Benjamin Edwards who I believe was a gunmaker in Birmingham late 1800s

It's a nice gun that has been re sleeved (obviously worth doing).

I just wonder has anybody got any info on these it has 28 in barrels.

Can I work out build date from serial nos and what it may be worth (if anything)

BENJAMIN EDWARDS (Late William Lee), 48 1/2 Newton Street, B'ham (1887-1903), also at 283 (poss misprint?) Newton St c1894. and 28 1/2 Newton St c1897.

Recorded as BENJAMIN EDWARDS Jnr, 50 1/2 Newton Street c1901 and 1904 - 24

BENJAMIN EDWARDS (representatives) s.a. 1925-28 and BENJ EDWARDS s.a. 1929-36
