spandit
I have a friend coming round this evening to go lamping and thought I'd better make sure my .22LR (Anschutz 525) was in zero. No matter what I tried, different ammo, mod on/off, I couldn't get anything resembling a group at 50 yards. Now, I know my rifle isn't the newest and I wasn't expecting clover leaf groups, but I know I'm capable of shooting 1" groups - today I was struggling to hit a 6 inch target... After about 80 rounds, I eventually realised the barrel was slightly loose (I'd stripped the rifle after I used it last)... Too dark now to check that the zero is correct so we'll just have to use his tonight
CharlieT
Do you mean the barrel was loose or you hadn't tightened the action screws ?
spandit
There's only one screw holding the barrel/forend on - it wasn't perfectly tight
