Anonymouslemming
I ended up working most weekends through summer so didn't get my A into G and find a club to get started with wildfowling. I have the BSA permits booklet, but the only club listed there within range of me is Leigh on Sea Wildfowlers, and their area isn't only suitable for experienced wildfowlers. Where is a good place to look for a mentor and / or a club that are tolerant of new members who need mentoring / guidance ? Thanks,

Anonymouslemming
Whereabouts are you? Do you have BASC membership? I'm in East London (near City Airport). I do have BASC membership, and when I said I had the BSA permit booklet, it should have said I have the BASC permit booklet.
Penelope
What about the Blackwater Wildfowlers Association? They have 5 marshes on the Blackwater and one on the Crouch. The head of the Blackwater estuary is Maldon, about 45 mins - hour up the A12 and A 414. The club meets at the 'Norton' pub in Cold Norton. You may be too late to join as a probationary member, but you should be able to join as an associate. http://www.shootinggazette.co.uk/shootfeatures/530601/On_the_marsh_with_the_Blackwater_Wildfowlers_Association.html https://www.facebook.com/blackwater.wildfowlers I ended up working most weekends through summer so didn't get my A into G and find a club to get started with wildfowling. I'll reach out to them and see what they have available!
