NickS
Got a stag & hen turkey from the local poultry auction kids have been feeding them up all year................ So looks like Nut roast Unlike Gordon Ramsey then! I cooked a Christmas dinner on Sunday for the Italian student we have staying, but who will be going home for Christmas. I bought a ready-stuffed turkey from Waitrose. It came in an oven bag and stayed really moist. Since there are usually 12/14 of us for actual Christmas lunch I buy a prepared kit of white and dark meat, rolled and stuffed, that comes with pigs-in-blankets and turkey stock. I have used Pipers Farm for the past few years who supply it mail order. It is very quick to carve and plate up and difficult to mess up as it cooks evenly. For me it is all about the company.
