woodfordpigeon
I was just looking at some summer days pigeon shooting. I thought you might like to see some of the bags that we get from Cornwall. We are not a great county for pigeon but I am lucky and do have some good spots. DEADLY PLUMBER
Look at how dry that ground is. It's seem like a very distant memory. In the summer I had to use a club hammer and cold chisel to get my rotary in the ground. The rotary would sink right now.

woodfordpigeon
Nice one mate, where you from in Cornwall? I'm in Launceston! Got a couple of good spots but never had a bag like that! Hi I have allot shooting all over Cornwall last three visits in the last three weeks 250 pigeons nr St Austell. I have a place your way callington very good also. We have done allot of pigeon shooting and don't miss an opportunity. I use full choke both barrels 28g or 32g 4s.I do spend quite allot of time on recognisance and we get good calls from Farmers. This year has been the worst year for 20 years. Good luck with this year. Crow shooting is also a favourite of mine woodfordpigeon
Darno
Nice! Hope for a day that good soon! Number 4s heavy ain't it? I usually go for 6s. I see some fairly good numbers further down Cornwall on my travels. You live down here?
woodfordpigeon
Nice! Hope for a day that good soon! Number 4s heavy ain't it? I usually go for 6s. I see some fairly good numbers further down Cornwall on my travels. You live down here? No4s It depends how far out you want to shoot. I test all my cartridges at 70yds on a 8ft pattern plate. 36g Heavy loads simply wont get there. small pellet like No 7.5s no striking velocity. Hull 28g 4s lead and plastic wades my favourite. But to be honest at reasonable range they will all do the job. Lots of talk about cartridges not much about the one behind the gun. Pigeons are a very hard bird to shoot and sought after by game bird shooters. Some of the ground I shoot I have shot for over 20 years.
