derickr
Well we eventually managed to get this little Dog Fox at the third attempt. On previous occasions he has got in to dead ground and not responded to any calls and by the time we have got into a position to cover the dead ground he has managed to make his escape good, not last night however. We spotted him at the fence line nearly as soon as we got onto the track behind the farm, we squeaked him for about 10 mins a couple of times he looked like he was going to take off again, then all of a sudden he started to head towards us not stopping until about 90 yrds out. My mate had him lined up but just as he pulled the trigger the little ****** moved forward resulting in the round hitting the fox in the spine at its back end, a quick reload and he was dispatched with a shot to the chest. Happy smiles all round
