welshwizard
I very rarely shoot competitions but do shoot clays for practise as often as I can , was a club member but get fed up of visiting same club so wasn't worth paying ,we also have a small private shoot on a farm locally which costs a bottle of drink from each of us to the farmer and we take turns to supply the clays , however on my renewal for my certificate four years ago the f.e.o. asked for proof of where I shoot i.e. membership card and has done for past twenty years or more (I know they have no right to but its common in Gwent area) and as I have held both shotgun sect 2 and sect 1 certificates since the early seventies I just don't want the hassle of not having commercial proof of membership . 100milesaway
Some of the above mentioned prices are seriously silly. I have to say that you would be hard pressed to find cheaper cost than at Marne Barracks near Catterick and Crabtree Farm, Lupton near Kirby Lonsdale.. I'm pretty certain that 100 clays at both of these grounds are under £20, I might also add that the targets at both of these grounds are superb. Vote with your feet... from Auntie. Dominicrobed
Thinking about joining greenfields in Canterbury ( membership starts next month ) £75 you get 10% of shop items , money of cartridges £5 off 100 clays + one guest gets the same deal ! Go 7 times made me money back.
