Traztaz
Chaps, I am looking to machine some stainless steel recoil lugs as opposed to the nasty aluminium ones that come as stock, do you think this is a good idea?
CharlieT
Presumably you intend to use hardened stainless. There is a chap in Australia who makes them. I fancied fitting one in my tripple 2 so I bought some a year or so ago and fitted one in the rifle and sold the rest on here at cost. I know mine is only a light recoiling rifle, but so far there are no marks on the new lug whereas the old, standard one, was quite pitted. Is it worth it, I don't know, but engineering wise, it's a vast improvement.
Amazed
Is it the same L arrangement as the m595 ? Karl. Edited February 13, 2014 by Amazed
roger3167
Bought 2 from CLA game fair a few years ago fitted them to both Tikas, no problems with them. As Charlie t states the originals were visibly marked.
