bikemad24
watec 902h or kpc 700 from sure 24. watec is easier as you dot have to get a adapter for cs mounting lenses. i used a watec setup on my 22-250 all last year untill i got my archer. watec + 16mm lens f1.0 f stop. You will get a little bit more range with the 700 iv been told but your talking a few yards. If im wrong somone will be along to correct me. You should go to the relevant websites for help. There are some very helpfull people around who know alot more than me. If you need any info pls pm me atb
evo
firstly it depends on what rifle you are using it on and what sort of distances you are trying to achieve also what ir will you be using,, then and only then can you be given advise regards what camera to use cheers Evo
Dave-G
Also decide if you have a rifle that you can dedicate to NV. If you are looking to NV because you have light shy quarry, bear in mind that a rig that doesn't have to throw extra IR out just to compensate for what can't get through the several lenses in a thin tubed daytime scope can use a lot less IR - so is more covert: So much more covert that it can sometimes be used with just moonlight or reflected light off white clouds. Dave-G
Maybe I should make it a question instead of advice. Can you allocate a rifle specifically for night vision with no compromise for daytime use? This is the most covert option, needing less Ir light, often none - so no need for a T-20. The low light camera is working as it was designed to work. Mainly benefiting close range shooting where bunnies are more likely to smell or hear you once the IR alerts them, and users who mainly shoot at night. Could be tubed (expensive) or digital ready made or home built. Or would you rather have a night vision device hanging on the back of a day time scope? It needs more IR light to compensate for light that is lost trying to pass though several small lenses in a day scope - which CCTV cameras were not designed to do - so it's less covert: But allows a higher magnification to be used for longer range shooting where being covert is a lesser requirement. This is the most versatile option because it can be used with several rifles and is particularly convenient to an afternoon/evening foray that extends into the night.
