tody27
I have started using my AYA s/s 12bore instead of an o/u. I can hit clays/pigeons perfectly if they are coming over head or away from me, but i struggle to hit crossers. Has anybody any experience with a side by side, how would you shoot and how much lag would u give the bird. Yesterday I tried it out at the the local clay shoot and I specifically did the skeet stand- I got an embarrassing 10 out of 25!! Any help would be great, as im beginning to belive I bought snap caps! Cheers Tody
Cranfield
I was always told, when shooting crossing birds with a side by side, "give them a bit more lead, than you thought you should." Swinging through is also very important. If I was you, I would persevere at the Clay Shoot, but don,t shoot skeet. There should be sufficient crossing birds stands, on the Sporting layout. You are getting two out of three right, so that can,t be too bad.
