jimdfish
In the great North west i am experiencing flocks of pigeons the like of which have never been seen for eons. 2-300 strong flights are regular. i must be getiing 3-4000 over my flightlines daily. Is it the strong acorn harvest boosted the birds numbers or the mild winters. Also getting alot of widgeon inland as well. Funnily thogh my snipe have not shown but the migratory woodcock are out inforce on my shoot. Usually have 40-50 pair of snipe on my land but nothing has shown Jim

Lancs Lad
You aint shooting in the NW Jim............... I got a semi on when I saw about 40-60 birds down near one of my fields the other day..... Some one always gets the best luck... Happy shooting lad.............cant say that Im not jealous in any way shape or form... Was so quiet when I went for a walk down my other bit of land that I started to build up a permanent hide near a likely spot...............No doubt it will turn out to be a flight line for sparrows..
