station
Hi All, This relates to just clay shooting. With the price of cartridges being what they are, has anyone any experience with Just Cartridges own competition ones? I used to shoot Gamebore Blue Diamonds and White Gold XLR's but with the prices going up over the last couple of years, I have been shooting their Kent branded Velocity ones. Now I am pretty happy with these, they seem to do the job and are clean through my guns. Never had any issues with them cycling my semi neither so all good. What I am asking really is whether the JC ones are worth an extra £35 - £40 per 1000. I know they use diamond shot which the Kent ones don't, but other than this I am not sure of other benefits. Many thanks for any advice.
dougall
I have used them for @ 3years in fibre,as fibre only mainly where I shoot,I think they are as good as any premium fibre. They are made by gamebore and without knowing for sure think they are white daimond.Would I recommend them? Yes. I do not use them in a semi but see no reason why they would not cycle etc.........I would suggest you try some.fyi their 7.5s are actually a 7.25 equivalant.......I use 8s/7.5s and have confidence in them. Why not give 'em a try? finally you need to factor in that there is also a delivery charge, from memory £15 ish. I have also used Kent Velocity as that is my clubs cartridge/given out as prizes etc.....I think they are v good as a budget shell too. I am also a big fan of their own game cartridges too,in 32g 6s ...awesome shell. If you mix & match when buying from JC you get the per thousand rate.....not worth ordering under 1000 in anyone hit. Cheers for that, I'll give them a go. I work that way sometimes so can avoid the delivery charge. ATB.
figgy
Expensive is what they are with delivery. Better finding a local stock ist and using something with similar specs. I've used most carts and keep going back to Hull Superfasts as they do all I want, hit every target that the other carts did but for £50.00 a thou less. Eley Olympics have the same specs as do a whole lot of other carts. CSP competition 1450 fps 4% antimony shot, 3% or more will do fine and 1400fps or more you won't notice .Diamond shot is polished to a silver shine, don't make it any better ballistically than shiny grey shot. If it makes you happy to shoot them fine, if not get various cheaper ones to try and find one you like, stick to it and you'll be happy. Figgy Expensive?@ £50 per slab I disagree.......where do you get Hulls at £37 per slab? The OP wanted an opinion on CSPs,I only posted cos that's a shell I use and know...
