stupidsalmon
Out on sunday at some local ponds with a mate to shoot some mallard getting 6 in total (5drake 1hen) had some nice sporting high birds (16 shots for 6) As you can see in the video we left some as they were hens. One person would scare them up off the top 2 of the 3 ponds whilst the other waited between them and lowest pond with the 12g, then we'd switch shooter and push them back up from the bottom pond to the top 2. Luckily they hang around the ponds and dont ****** off as soon as the first shots fired, as ive experienced on other ponds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioH_BK2tiu4

stupidsalmon
haha yeh, camera work was a bit shoddy, forgot to switch it to high quality also i after reading in a shooting mag. about using steel shot thats atleast 2 times smaller (?) than you'd use in lead i was a bit apprehensive about using the 32g no.5's i had but every duck shot was killed outright
stevethevanman
They recommend No.6 for Mallard and No.5 if the range is extreme.
