Browning Citori vs GTI Ultra

As I mentioned on another thread, I have sold my miroku 20 bore and now have a bit of gun money. I have too many field models, and am considering a sporter to get more involved in clay shooting.

I am comparing the above two guns. Both are used but haven't seen much use. I haven't shot either (yet, but I will) but they both come up nicely. I prefer the black action to the simple engraved pattern of the citori but the citori is newer and 3 inch steel proofed.

Can anyone say whether one model is better than the other? Or any more desireable than the other for potential resale. The gti is 100 quid more than the citori.

Any advice or comments gratefully received. Decisions, decisions.....

Thanks Shaun.

The Gti approx 20 yrs. The citori about 10.

Gti is 1095 but in near new condition. 32 inch barrel and 2.75" chambers.

Citori is 995, has seen a bit more use and 30" barrel and 3" steel proofed.

Both are in good shape. Even as I type, the citori makes more sense even though I prefer the appearance of the gti. Dammit

Have you shot with a 32" before?

I went from 30" to 32" and then back to 30" as I found the 32" quite heavy in comparison

Its down to personal choice at the end of the day,

Dont get hung up on the fact its got 2.75" chambers if its going to be a clay gun,

Seeing as you had a Miroku, is there not of them you fancy?

No. 32" is new to me. I have 2 b525s - a 28" and a 30" and both are game guns. Both are 3" steel shot proofed and have wildfowling covered. By stepping into out-and-out clay guns I'm in very unfamiliar territory.

I'm finding it hard to leave the versatility factor of a gun for all purposes behind (even though I already have 2)

I think I need to shoot them both. I found the miroku a bit lower in the stock.
