kennett Posted May 16, 2014 Report Share Posted May 16, 2014 They are fairly simple, we used reinforcing mesh with a few squares cut out, wire it into the pen. Use chicken wire to make 2 wings that funnel birds towards the hole, then on the Inside more wire to make a funnel with the narrow end pointing into the pen, this helps to stop birds walking out Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ColinF Posted May 17, 2014 Report Share Posted May 17, 2014 Ours are pretty much the same as Kennett's, but we use fox grids like these: http://collinsnets.co.uk/product/fox-grid-pop-hole The size of the wire tube inside the pen is the same as the fox grid at one end, tapering down to around 8" diameter at the other end, and about 4' long.
