Proudly
Went out for 8am to shoot the only wood on our farm. We were a few days late as loads of the young were flying although there was still quite a few unable to leave the nests yet. By 10.30am we had shot about 70, barrels were hot at one point. We had to stop & collect more cartridges so we had quick bite to eat. We managed another half a dozen crows & 4 pigeons over the next hour then called it a day. Sweltering heat & bloody nettles, but what a cracking morning. The farmer was over the moon so I thought it was a good time to ask if we could shoot the pheasants next season, I offered him a few quid but he refused & asked me to gut/pluck a load of ducks next time I'm there lol....can't say fairer than that? Proudly
We're in Northumberland & its generally mid May although as said theres still birds in the nests. Cracking day anyway as we probably only shot 20 or so on the branches, most were flying over the wood
