hindhunter
hi all, wonder if anyone has any advice or experience with the 6mm XC?
kent
look at the common or garden .243 win and consider carefully if its for field use. Everything is more expensive and harder to get your hands on in a hurry for what?
Alycidon
Doubt that there are many in the UK as such, There is also a lot of info on Accurate Shooter website. http://www.6mmbr.com/6XC.html Looks like its a 22.250 case necked up, there was a similar round created in the UK a few years ago by a friend who posts here, worked pretty well by all accounts, at least two or three rifles were built but may since have been rebarrelled. David Tubbs has won a lot of awards out to 600 yards with it, so it has the accuracy edge over 243 for sure but would loose out on barrel life. A Horses for courses really, what are you looking to shoot with it and how far. Edited May 30, 2014 by Alycidon

Tubs also won a lot with .243 but you just cant keep the tube long enough through the season in these type of events reportedly, inherently accuracy is a funny thing to compare case to case
