Hamster
Hi looked at a car for sale its offered with rac warranty (platinum ) any body any experence with these are they worth the paper there printed on thanks We do these, enquire about the limit they set because they do £1k, £2k and unlimited I believe and yes they are as good as you'll find. They pay for mechanical and electrical faults including shock absorbers, catalytic convertors and even air con compressor failure. They don't cover the fluids or re-gasing of air cons, nor things like broken aerials or faulty key fobs, all told though it's well worth having. They do have labour charge limits which can be much lower than some main dealers so you need to take care here, also factor in having to pay for the initial diagnosis of faults yourself, they'll cover this charge if a fault is found but not if nothing comes up on the computer, avoids neurotics checking cars in every time they hear a squeak.
