rich1985
Just thought I would share with you all a red stag I took on my permission on the 16 of October 2013. Now the head is finished. He was a truly magnificent animal. Much respect to him.

kyska
Big animal, bit of a story of where and what you shot him with? Pics of the entire animal would be lovely, he must of been a triumph of a deer!

rich1985
He had been on the permission a while, noticed him limping a couple times when feeding pheasants but as it was in the rut I just assumed he had had a scrap, got up quite close to the old boy one day on the quad bike and noticed a length of barbed wire around a hind leg so that evening I dispatched him for his own sake really. Within 2 days there was another stag just as big move on the permission though after his hinds. I had a lot of respect for him, still do. I have got some photos of him just after I shot him, will try get them on tomorrow. Took 5 of us to get him in a land rover! Shot with a tikka t3 .234 only about 80 yards.
