lakeside1000
I was out on Tuesday, intending to shoot over some young beet but they were nowhere to be seen, I drove down to the other end of the farm where a barley field runs up to a small wood, as soon as I pulled up about 200 birds scattered from the trees, so I set up in the tram lines about 50 yards from the wood, started with a magnet and 4 decoys but batteries were low, so took in the magnet and put up a flapper, had to tape it to a stick to get the height, but it worked well, had a great afternoon, only shot 10 but there were lots in the air, going back this week with some extensions for my flappers, to get the decoys above the barley, they certainly were in the mood for some barley snacks, shame they now have lead balls. well done on the numbers, gets interesting when they are coming in larger flocks, better than the last few months where we have only seen very small numbers about. good job.
