foosa
Anyone got one, what do you think of them, any thing you do or don't like about them? I have seen a new stainless fluted barrel stalker and it's the only thing stopping me getting another tikka t3!
jimmyb79
I have the stainless stalker without fluted barrel in 223. Love it, shot great straight out of the box and just works. The only downside is weight in comparison to a T3 lite, but that is a very light gun!
Fib new
Got one in 22-250. Been using it for years, good gun. Use it on fox and roe. Done a lot of lamping with it, and rather like the fact it's not to light.
mick miller
The trigger is a shocker but can be fixed, the factory crown on some looks like it's been chipped out with a garden hoe. Some complaints regarding the magazines being sticky but I've had no problems with mine. Edited June 18, 2014 by mick miller

Blunderbust
I have both the XBolt and T3 and to be honest there is not a lot between them. I have not had any problem with the crown on the XBolt but must admit the mag does sometimes stick. Both shoot very well.
foosa
Anyone else aware of any problems with crowns or triggers on the x bolt? I was under the impression the triggers were good units, the crown and trigger have to be spot on with any rifle in my opinion.
jimmyb79
I've had no issues with the crown or trigger on my x-bolt. The trigger is adjustable and the new ones come with an upgraded feather trigger.
mick miller
Mine was one of the first, pre-fluted stainless stalkers. Perhaps they rushed the crowning process or hadn't fully sorted the manufacturing but it was pretty poor. It only cost me a small amount to put right. Not sure about the 'feather trigger', I think thats what mine was supposed to have, again a thirty quid fix to put it where I wanted it to be. I had already adjusted it the maximum possible from 6lb to 4lb but that's still too much for me. By the way, adjust that trigger and you invalidate any warranty. Pretty happy with mine and as I said, no sticky magazines issues to date. Edited June 21, 2014 by mick miller
