HDAV
Not sure on the official position but they do take warranty claims seriously even if not the first owner on real issues niggles etc I don't know. Under uk law consumer protection is with the retailer not manufacturer. Buying private If it wasn't registered by first owner and they have proof of purchase I would hope it would be honoured browning owners club may have more info. http://www.browningownersclub.org.uk/ Edited June 19, 2014 by HDAV
mickmep
don't think you'll have any joy if you're not the first owner. my Winchester had to go in for repair, and that was the first thing they asked when I phoned them up. I must say the warranty service was top class though, they arranged collection from my local rfd and delivery back, around 10 days total turn round and didn't cost me a penny.
