DIY Night sight

I recently started a diy night sight project with superb results. I'm wondering if anyone has also made a diy night sight and if so what screen they used.

I'm currently using the 8gb JXD990 DVR but the image is a little blurry around lit up objects.

Is there a better quality screen that I could use and were can I buy one?

Thank You

hi Rhino,

it will not be the screen it will be the camera you are using and the IR,

what is happening is the camera is accepting too much infrared and is bleaching any light object,

this can be adjusted using an osd camera and also switching off the backlight compensation and or not using so much infrared light,

hope this helps

Blurry like this?

If so you need to focus the image better - and possibly use less IR too, especially if you are using it at close range.

Bleached like this?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fnzsll0TYMk

If so, as evo said, there is more light in certain areas ( probably mostly local foliage or other reflective things) than the camera and JXD990 DVR can process.

Use less light or restrict the excessive light from being seen by the CCD sensor.

The former is solved by using less IR - most people naively use as much as they can get, but some systems can use less light than others.

The latter is usually done by reducing the iris/aperture - or reducing the camera gain via the OSD or trim pot depending on what camera you are using (Watec or whatever)

What type of NV device have you built?
