dadrew
Newbie question I'm afraid. I just brought some Sports Match Scope Mounts and found that one of the mounts has a small lug that can be inserted into a hole in the mount, what's it for please? Paul T
I guess it stops your scope creeping? edit: Had a quick google and it appears that's it. Edited July 15, 2014 by Paul T
Les*1066
Some rifles - like a few Weihrauch air rifles - have 2 or 3 holes drilled between the scope mounting rails. The pin on the mounts goes into one of these holes and stops the scope from moving during recoil. This is most commonly found on springer type airguns - I've never seen them on anything else. Yup, my HW80 has these - only I forgot to add the pin when I fitted my mounts
