Darno
Bit of a long story really but here goes....... I went bass fishing all day and all night about 2 weeks ago, and then when I got back on land I drove 1 1/2hrs to my wildfowling clubs meeting, sat in the sun all afternoon and did a marsh walk and then drove home, Needless to say, I was pretty tired and as a result was pretty useless with the wife and kids for the rest of the weekend. (Caught some nice bass though) Anyway, plans are to go again on Friday all night again. Got home and asked the mrs a couple if nights ago and the answer was a sure NO!! Got a lot of abuse off my mates for it to! Anyway, broached the subject with her again tonight and managed to get her to agree:-) Then said I was gonna take the dog up the farm and get him to flush a few rabbits and to my amazement, my mrs who doesn't really like me shooting said she wanted to come and see the dog working!!! I couldn't believe it! But she really enjoyed it and couldn't believe the difference in the dog when he is working to when he is just on a walk. Think she was secretly impressed with my shooting aswell:-) that's the first bit of weird. I drop some of my rabbits to a local guy for animal feed and when I got there this evening he was in his pyjamas just locking up for the night, he came out to see me and take the rabbits and said he could here one of his goats sounds like its stuck, so we go and have a look and sure enough there is a goat stuck up the top of a steep brambly hill, and gues who has to go and get him and carry him all the way down the hill because he won't walk.! Not what I expected to be doing this evening, but he gave me £20 for my troubles and that will pay for the fuel on the boat on Friday:-) Happy days:-)
