goober
Would appreciate any advice,I bought a new mossberg hushpower .410 and took it out today and found that after 30-40 cartridges(3" fiochi)it started blowing hot powder in my face.I dismantled it and checked barrel and breach and all seemed ok,put back together and problem returned after few more shots. I have another identical gun that has never done this. The gun was assembled properly and tight but could it be a gap in breach maybe? Thanks. spandit
Does the moderator have vent holes that face backwards? Have you checked there's nothing blocked in there?
goober
Hi,moderator has no ports that I can see as I too thought maybe blocked moderator causing some sort of blowback.also when I dismantled gun and re assembled it,the problem seemed fixed till after a few shots and so I'm presuming no blockage? andrew2416
I had the exact same problem give saddlery and gun room a ring. They were really helpful I sent the moderator back to them and they had it fixed and sent back in just over a week. I think it was a seal in the moderator that can be faulty from time to time if my memory serves me right.
