crowcaller
Was out on a local permission that had two fields of wheat cut on sat.birds had been using the field when it was standing and had small laid patches, they are hard fields to shoot as it has roads on three sides ,took my grandson who is only ten years old but very keen.I had to set the decoys on a diagonal as to off set the roads not ideal as the flight line was down a hedge line but it would mean shooting to one of the roads so a no to that, set up on straw stack deeks on my left had birds come round to have look and shot a dozen or so , wind got stronger and changed a bit that altered the line moved hide to the hedge and deeks more left to off set the road grandson shot is first woodie a bird that landed in the seeks with is air rifle to say he was pleased well he never stopped talking about it.he also finished off a couple of wounded birds . We finished on 28 . But had to leave a lot of birds that crossed in front due to roads . But still a good day with the youngster.
