birdsallpl
I met a good friend and RFD there a few years ago after not seeing him for 4 years he said "what are you doing here ?" I told him I was looking for a good hammer gun . His reply was "they are only here because we cannot sell them in the shop "! Deershooter Didn't you ask him what he was doing there then! Deershooter I've heard that refrain so many times, "remember - its only stuff that we've turned down that ends up in auctions". I have come to conclude that this is absolute b@lls. Yes buyers have to tread carefully but I've bought lots of things from auction without regret at below retail prices. However, as more people turn to auctions the margin between auction and retail prices has narrowed a lot. The auctions are still a major threat to the retail gunshops who can only source second hand guns only from a limited geographic area or from auctions where they are competing against their own retail customers.
