pin
Take it to a gunsmith. You need to be absolutely sure its not over 12fpe or you are in serious trouble. Nobody is going to help you take that rifle over 12fpe, if you think it under power its a job for someone who knows what they are doing and that has access to the proper tools. If you have to ask you don't know what you are doing and should leave well alone. In order to have a rifle over 12fpe you need to hold an FAC with a slot for FAC air. naddan28
hi i have herd that you can tune a weihrauch hw 97k up to fac how thanks Stuart, we will not and can not post information about tuning up rifles to beyond 12ftlbs. REGARDLESS of your FAC status, as this is a publicly viewed forum so anyone, FAC or no FAC, can view it.

pin
Minimum calibre for deer in the uk is .243 Your a young lad, listen to the lads on here they know what they are on about. If you think your rifle needs tuning take it to a gunsmith who has a crono (for measuring the speed of the pellet) and have him take a look. Nobody on here is going to help a 14 year old lad turn a air weapon into a firearm, forget about it

If you take it to a gunsmith they will give it a good tune up and set it to around 11.5ftlbs until then wait for a FAC.

pin
Bit of friendly advice. Spend some time with what you have, practising punching paper targets at 30yds until you can hit inside a 50p bit all day long, before you tackle anything with a face. 10fpe to 12fpe you are hardly going to notice the difference, and it won't make that much difference to the range as you might think it will. Since you are a young lad, get someone over 21 to take you and the gun down to a gunsmith if you are concerned about the power and have them crono it for you. Just so you know a 35fpe .22 air rifle only really extends the effective range to 60-70 yds MAX, it doesn't make it into an elephant gun like a lot of people think. Just because its a firearm then doesn't mean its going to blow things apart. Good luck with your shooting, stay safe and practice - you have years of enjoyment if you stay safe and practice hard
