GOT 6 PHONE CALLS BACK "KEEP YOU ON FILE". KNOCKED A FEW DOORS SUNDAY,NO GOOD.(AND SMARTLY DRESSED). I'M EMPLOYED AS A SECURITY MANAGER SO OFFERED TO REPORT ANYONE LOOKING SUPISCIOUS ON THEIR LAND. SENT SOME COPIES OF MY LETTER TO MY FARMER WHO HAS GIVEN ME AN OPEN FIELD TO SHOOT AT WILL, TO GIVE OUT AS HE MIGHT KNOW A "CONTACT". I WANT TO SHOOT VERMIN Eg. RABBITS, RATS, PIGEONS, CROWS. ANY IDEAS??:rolleyes: ABOUT TO GIVE UP!!!!!!!! (IF YOU TOLD ME TO SHOW MY **** IN BURTONS WINDOW....I MIGHT!) THINKING OF AN AD. IN LOCAL PAPER? I don't know of many people who have had success with mailshots - I think its impersonal and (this isn't having a go) totally lazy. If you have the time to look these places up, then go nock on them all too. At least you now have an "in" which you can use, mention the letter (taking note of any problems you can see on the land) and see what they say. Its all about door knocking, once you have some, more will follow. Its all about staying positive and keeping going. Have a think about how the last face to face went, if you got the KB was it instant, did it come after a chat or what? See if you can change it next time. Have you got any cards you can leave? I use the Firewall to create a VPN secure WAN from my house to both our company's main site and the disaster recovery site, which I am setting up with a duplicate of our main servers for and in case of a disaster. This is in addition to the main site redundant servers & Clarion SAN array and more redundant power supplies UPS's and spare bits than you could shake a stick at.. In fact, despite our main site redundant server not being ready, we had to fail over to it on Monday night as the primary server went tits up after an application upgrade. Took 5 hours to transfer the data from tape (hadn't set up asynchronous backup yet) and get back on our feet. Were ready by 10pm. If that happened now, It would have only taken about 20 minutes. but hey, a week is a long time in IT. /Mad Systems/Storage Manager & Teaboy!
