New lamp arrived

Bunnies getting lamp shy with my existing white torch and a red filter made it too dim so bought another Ultrafire which arrived today.

 

It's a different size to my existing one so the pressure switch doesn't fit but I've mounted it on the side so can press it with my thumb. Will see how the shadow affects things

 

 

Seems quite bright, though:

 

 

Will try it this evening when it gets dark, which won't be long!

I put brake light tape on one of my lamps was amazed how well the rabbit just sat there.

I used proper lighting gel but it was still too dim. Just nipped outside to try this one and at about 80 yards it works great, the illuminate reticle really comes into the fore as it's not terribly bright. A lot of reflection from the SAK so will extend the mount and put something less reflective over the mod but actually works really well being so close to my thumb

mine just manages 80 yards mist seems to play havoc with it lol

Yes, shooting in fog isn't ideal
