69chris Posted November 25, 2014 Report Share Posted November 25, 2014 ok, the title wasnt very clear (limited space is my excuse ) so heres a go at making myself a bit clearer..... how do you sell/swap or px with a dealer ? i know how it works when done privately but im assuming he wont want the details of every transaction he does filling up his ticket so how/ what is the process ?? i did have a quick search but couldnt find much and while its prob very straight forward its about as clear as mud to me just want to be sure whats sposed to happen cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bostonmick Posted November 25, 2014 Report Share Posted November 25, 2014 When I p/x with my dealer he gives me a receipt which I sign to say I have in fact sold him the gun.he also faxes a transfer slip to inform policefor me.then the new one is dealt with in the same way as a standard sale. CharlieT Posted November 25, 2014 Report Share Posted November 25, 2014 For all intents and purposes, be it PX or purchase, the RFD buys your old gun off you and enters it in his register as an acquisition.
