Ferret Master
Hi, Dad was working away in Oxford yesterday and kindly popped in to Just Cartridges to get me some cartridges. As well as my Eley 28g 20 bore ammo for the clays and some 32g 3's in 20 bore incase foxy pops his snout out at reasonably close range when out shooting. He also got some 12 bore Pure Gold 32g of 6's for the pigeon. Are the Pure Gold's a good cartridge and what is the recoil like on them? I'm expecting firm. henry d
Never tried them but I like 32`s for pigeon roosting and 30 for decoying, recoil should be OK especially with a plas wad. 28gm 20 bore
Ferret Master
Other than the 32g 20 bore loads the rest are fibre. I'm regularly told I'm a nutter for doing so but I have been shooting 50+ 28g loads a day on clays and I don't get knocked around as my guns quite a nice fit to me and I suppose I generally wear a thick rugby shirt, a top and my skeet vest so there is a bit of padding there. Not sure the 32g loads in my 20 will be very pleasant though. FM
