fieldwanderer
I'm thinking about making myself one of these n.v. setups like a few of you on here have done but I can't say I'm all that keen on the screen sat on top of the scope so, I've come up with this and just looking for a bit of reassurance and any ideas of how to go about it or any obvious problems please? FalconFN
Theres a video on YouTubeYouTube by Rolaids Bench, using the same thing. Personally I think I'd find it a bit of an uncomfortable experience but some like it.
fieldwanderer
Yeah, I can imagine it being a bit strange but I'm sure I'd just keep knocking the screen off if it was in the usual place
FalconFN
You can buy a viewfinder type screen called a vf-2c (ebay number 291348245022) and attach it to the camera (or use an old CRT vewfinder from a camcorder if you like tinkering) so that you have a more natural shooting position. There is also a lower resolution unit that is half the price.
fieldwanderer
Worth thinking about, thankyou
spandit
Walking around seeing only what your rifle is focused on at 50 yards + is not going to be easy. I think you'd get very disorientated or were you planning on modifying the goggles to take half out?
fieldwanderer
Can always take them off when moving. My permissions all have so little cover it's best to hide and let quarry come to me to be honest. Thanks for your thoughts sofar guys, it's early days and this is all going towards either doing something cool or not wasting muney- either is much appreciated
