ROBLATCH
My take on this would be that he’s been refused because he didn’t disclose the info NOT because of the info although that might have had some bearing. Saying you forgot is like saying you didn’t see the red traffic light…it doesn’t wash. No good trying to cover up...big brother is watching! It’s not for us to judge who does and who doesn’t get a certificate that’s for ol’ bill I just wish when they get it wrong (Hungerford/Dunblane) they’d sack the bloke responsible rather than give him a damn great golden handshake. no word spoken so true there mate. ROBLATCH
well after sitting down with my mate over a cuppa and a few phone calls made we seem to have come up with a concusion of why he was refused his s.g.c. simply because the information he supplied on the form was insufficient and or incorrect. he spoke to the local f.a.o who advised him to pay £10 for a full printout of a national police computer check and supply all the details held within on the next application he makes. however he was advised to wait at least 6 weeks before reapplying as the refusal would be still held on recrd.(seems strange to me that a refusal only stops on file for 6 weeks) because of this i told him it sounds strange why it is only on file for this long and i would want more info on that issue.however he reckons that the particular officer was right and he would go ahead as advised. well the ball is in his court now wondering what next.you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink. Graham M
On the form it will ask if he has ever been refused a SGC, so he will have to explain it anyway. G.M.
markbivvy
he spoke to the local f.a.o who advised him to pay £10 for a full printout of a national police computer check this will be a DB1. if your mate has been told to wait six weeks then best bet is to wait that time.
