SEMI AUTO STORAGE

just a quick un folks! ive bought a nice semi auto with a gorgeous stock that is highly polished :) , my question is....can i lock away just the barrel in my safe? as i dont want to risk scratching the finish  as i remove and replace a full gun in the cabinet, the stock and action can be stored in the locking hard case and be hidden out of sight in a locked room, or do i have to put the whole lock, stock, and barrel in my safe? and eventualy scratch or dink it.

cheers all.....jarma.

I doubt very much that it would be recommended to keep the action not in the safe. I think that the whole thing needs to be locked away, but I'm sure that someone more knowledgeable will be along in a minute to confirm or otherwise.

Have you thought of one of using those "gun socks" to protect the action/woodwork while it's in the cabinet?
