fenboy
I can certainly remember shooting a decent bag on rape in june , it is dependent on the pigeons keeping some patches mown down and what other food sources are open to them. stoxs
Often there is a patchy rape field around as fenboy said keeps em going . Often pigeons can been seen on grass stubbles around 1 week after being cut , they are after the clover when it comes up. Heading into late june early july then the milky barley will come, so keep and eye out for laid barley crops right up until harvest then rape, peas, barley stubble are all faviourites. stoxs
Don't forget tree buds.... Yea forgot them, always struggle to get the decoys to stay on the branches though!! Also taking a shot from a thorn bush is challenging!!
