scutt
Any recommendations for a good net needle bought a yellow osprey type and its not very good as the center pin is flimsy and bent to one side snagging cord when in use.

bud84
I always used a loomis needle and started off on a triangle rather than on the ring. That way you can stitch a whole purse net with no joins. Try Agouti nets, very nice helpful guy and provides a good service, also has everything you'll need.
