Sco77w
I've just put in a request for a variation for a bolt action .22 (among others) and quite like the look of the CZ455, I'm just torn between these 2 stock options. I've been able to handle the Evolution as my local gun shop has one in but not the thumb hole. I Intend to use it at the club for targets out to 100 m. I'd be interested in what your experience of this rifle is before I spend my hard earned.
gixxerboy
I have the HMR in laminate thumbhole stock and it's a pleasure to shoulder. I had a Theoben MFR in a thumbhole stock and swapped the stock on that as I didn't really like it and was a little wary of the CZ one till I tried it. I'm now looking for a second hand thumbhole stock to put on my CZ .22LR aswell.
Albert 888
I have a 455 22lr came with a standard stock which was poor, changed it for a boyds laminate none thumbhole and it did improve it a little,my trigger is **** even after being fettling by a gunsmith the screwcut for the mod is rough and it's ammo fussy. Oh and when i got it the extractor claws where the wrong way round. Mine loves eley sport and sk(Lapua)subs. I should have spent a little more and gone for somthing more refined. They do shoot well but don't expect it too much. The 452 is much smother.

I like the heavy varmint barrel and the look of both the thumb-hole and the Evolution stocks but I dont want to have to throw loads of money at a gun smith to make it work. Albert 888
I think mine was a Friday afternoon rifle, hence most of the problems. It does shoot well, but it took a while, well over 3000 rounds of ammo. I bought it as a hunting-target rifle. And now do mainly target whith it. All I can say is try as many as you can before you buy. If mainly using as a hunting rifle it will be bob on.
