secretagentmole
Why not buy a Combro for £50 and have one of your own?

hedge
I bought a Combro last week for £50 and it's great. I had to wait a while to get it but pleased I did. Makes life soooo much easier! Shame you aren't more local. Can't you drive up to Kibworth and ask them to do it?
swampyis1968
I think I get one from flea bay but if its not pushing out 10lb_11.lb then do I spend the money on fine tuning at the rat works or john bowkett or do I apply for my fac license and get the work done so I can have a 30lb air rifle as some of the pigeons at work are 40_50 yard shots
manthing
If you went fac then the land would have to be cleared for fac, unlikely for a new fac shooter in a built up area I would think. Imo you'd be better off working on your accuracy and stalking/hide building hiding skills.
secretagentmole
Looking at a gun safe first but have been looking on flee bay Why do you need a gun safe? A nice metal locker like a gym locker can take rifles and is much cheaper. We got a couple for about £20 each from a school supply company! swampyis1968
The fact that I would like to have more than one gun and would like the get land to shoot on with an fac licence i think it would make sense to get a gun safe from the start instead of getting a gym locker if you see the state of lockers at our work than you would see that they about as strong as 2 ply paper and you wouldn't want to use that on yourself plus I would feel safer with a proper safe than something I know you could just kick the side in The fact that I would like to have more than one gun and would like the get land to shoot on with an fac licence i think it would make sense to get a gun safe from the start instead of getting a gym locker if you see the state of lockers at our work than you would see that they about as strong as 2 ply paper and you wouldn't want to use that on yourself plus I would feel safer with a proper safe than something I know you could just kick the side inthis day and age safety is paramount

No kids mate, the guns are kept in the lockers to protect them from knocks and let the air circulate, But FAC does demand proper gun safes. swampyis1968
that's the reason why if im gonna go for a fac licence than I might as well get a gun safe now ps ive got me a chronos of a pw member went trawling though for sale in the mist of getting it now so will now get an idea of fps
secretagentmole
Ah then the fun starts! Pellets change FPS a heck of a lot, so finding the most accurate and efficient pellet for the gun can become like a quest for the Holy Grail. Luckily my gun was sorted by the man who designed it and also tested to find which pellet was most efficient. Unfortunately they stopped making that pellet! I'm not saying that it's not a good idea to get a chrono, because I think it's an essential piece of equipment for any airgunner, and for £50 it might just keep you out of prison one day. Combro cb-625's are great, and the after-sales service is probably one of the best in the UK. [and no, I don't have any connection with Combro! ] http://www.chronoscopes.com/

Zetter
Is it a new R10 mate if so with those readings back to the shop with it. Sounds suspiciously like a regulator issue which can sometimes affect the R10s still.
