ollie
Saw today on Facebook that someone had bought crow & pigeon mojo decoys. I know the duck ones work ok but has anyone ever used the crow or pigeon ones to good effect?
Redditch
I have two of the crow ones. Sometimes when they arrives the rods are slightly bent, which means they don't turn properly. Also had a problem where the bottom screw that holds onto the magnet rod stripped, so I welded a nit onto it, and that cured that problem. Sometimes you also need to enlarge slightly the holes in the decoy body to ensure that the winds turn too. That said, they do work well on a WINDY day, but if it's not windy you need the magnet going far too fast for corvid Decoying. Pigeons would probably be ideal though, as they need a high speed Edited June 5, 2015 by Redditch
ollie
Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably just stick with the flapper & whirly, but I was curious about the Mojo.
Dr D
Waste of time, unless there is wind. And when there is wind bouncers are usually enough.

Dr D
Well dr how is the form? The mojo decoys are battery operated as far as I know. Things are grand. I been passing a few hours fishing and sorting out a rabbit problem. I have noticed groups of pigeon starting to move about a bit. This year might be quite good. I dont think we are going to suffer the beech mast problem again. The cool weather has helped. Hows you attempts at flyfishing been getting on? ollie
The last time I went out there was fellas catching all around me & I tried every type of fly without success. Knocked my confidence a bit & haven't been out since. Yes hopefully this year is better for pigeons, couldn't be much worse.
