M ROBSON
We were out on the drills yesterday and while I was packing up all the gear and the dead birds I noticed one of them was a very young bird. It must only have been a few days out of the nest. We've shot them in May before but I've never seen or heard of any in March. I think this one must have been hatched in a straw barn as I've seen a few woodies in them while I've been shooting out the ferals. Anyone else seen young birds this early in the year before?? Cheers, Mark

M ROBSON
We had another 2 Woodie squabs in the bag today, 20 miles from the last one, so I guess it wasn't just a one off. This global warming has really screwed up the seasons. Mark.
