glogin Posted July 5, 2015 Report Share Posted July 5, 2015 Had a chance to use Armasight NV (binoculars and a spotter) when pig hunting at night. I dont have a lot of experience with NV (cant use NV sights here) but found these very useful at night this time of year, when sows are off menu and only yearlings and male pigs can be shot. I could sex the pigs at closer ranges and the NV was good for spotting them. The first vid was a peri-urban area so there was enough lights coming from a nearby town and roads to see good enough in the riflescope. Had to leave the NV and camera on the tripod and move away to get a safe shot... In the second vid, the NV was good in the wood to figure out "what was what" and take the shot when there was enough light. Hope you enjoy these.
