dodeer
Just wondering when you purchase a new centrefire rifle do people still "shoot the barrels in" by firing one bullet then cleaning and repeating the process. Just purchased a new Tikka and wonder whether i need to or not. Some experienced stalkers near me say it's a waste of time and others say it's a must. Gun is a T3 Stainless Synthetic .243 and will be using Norma 100g soft points.
Dougy
sam just the same here picking up my new rifle tomorow then off on the zeroing range i have just packed my bag with a cleaning rod and patches thats all it will get to start with, plus butchers bore shine, after a few shots through it. I will ask my rfd his views on cleaning though just for another opinion.
