Truck mounted lamp?

Not what you are asking about - but something more covert that you probably won't have considered.

I'm introducing a new water resistant suction mount night vision spotter specifically for vehicles later in the week which will be much more covert than a lamp to get you closer before setting up the shot. It will mount to the roof, screen, bonnet, door mirror, or anywhere else you can reach to pan and tilt it.

Basically it's a high quality very low light camera with an infra red illuminator, and a cable leading to a high definition 5" monitor bluetacked somewhere on your dashboard below the window line - all powered by the car cigar lighter.

I'll be posting it up in a separate thread but will add a link to it from this thread.

It's performance will be broadly similar to the videos below - but without the crosshair.

Bear in mind the raw footage seen with the car HD monitor is far superior to the compressed video before its further degraded by Youtube. :

Good moonlight:

Moisture or fog:

You will need the illuminator for darker nights with less moonlight:

Thanks for the replies lads, i may have a look at the remote control one. Sounds pretty good just when your driving and lamping your arms all over the shop and when it's cold your bloody hand freezes lol

The nv looks good though does that have an added ir illuminator on it?

Cheers rob

As most people with NV have at least one illuminator, and perhaps a lesser one in a drawer somewhere - and a spotter doesn't need as much light as an add-on rig they will be sold for the user to supply his own 1" tubed one.
