Wasabi
I thought this might be of interest to some. I've started to get more green wood for my stove, having previously bought in all my supplies. I find it frustrating having to wait a year or more for it to season so investigated quicker ways. One I found was a solar kiln, so I built one! I'll post photos but basically it is a glorified cold frame with vents. Mine is made from left over wood and thick polythene sheeting but it works! I don't have a moisture meter yet, Aldi special buy this Thursday, but have weighed 4 logs in it and after three days all have lost over 10 grams. These logs weighed between 400 and 500 grams each when put in!
harpoonlouis
There are some youtube vidoes of building circular log stacks as natural kilns which look interesting.
hesstondriver
could you take inspiration from the biltong thread , combine an ebay special solar panel (the sort for charging caravan batteries) and a couple of small fan units and you could then have 'assisted ventilation'
